Pre-owned helicopter sales, leasing and MRO; French arm of global dealer Rotortrade
Rotortrade France (RT France) is the French arm of Rotortrade, a helicopter dealership that describes itself as active across five continents. The group runs regional units for the Americas, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa, and Europe, and lists France among its country markets. RT France's managing director also serves as the group's head of region for Europe.
The company's main business is buying and selling helicopters. Rotortrade states that it is the sole global distributor of pre-owned helicopters from Leonardo's Helicopter Division, and it also trades aircraft from other major manufacturers. Owners can use it to sell their helicopters or appoint it on a sales mandate.
Beyond brokerage, the group offers helicopter leasing through RotorLease, spare parts, and avionics as a Garmin dealer. It also does maintenance. Aviation press reports that its European maintenance center in Tallard, France, received EASA Part 145 approval for EC120 and AS350/H125 types in 2024. In the US, the group operates an FAA Part 145 facility in Latrobe, Pennsylvania.
In 2023 the group appointed Gerard Pau, a former Airbus Helicopters executive, as Managing Director of RT France. Rotortrade also publishes a periodic Global Helicopter Market Report.
Rotortrade deals in helicopters and does not offer passenger charter. It is relevant to buyers and sellers of turbine helicopters, particularly Leonardo models.
