Roskilde air taxi, scheduled island flights, flight school and maintenance in Denmark
Copenhagen AirTaxi, also known as CAT or Aircat, is a Danish aviation company based at Copenhagen Airport, Roskilde (EKRK), southwest of Copenhagen. It has been active since the early 1960s; sources give either 1961 or 1963 as the founding year.
Alongside a large pilot school, the company operates air taxi and charter flights to destinations across Europe and runs a scheduled service linking Roskilde with the islands of Anholt and Læsø. It also offers aircraft management, including acquisition, crewing and operations, aircraft sales, sightseeing flights, and Part-145 maintenance and Part-M CAMO services. It also manages Anholt airfield.
According to Wikipedia, the island route is normally flown with a 10-seat Britten-Norman BN-2 Islander, sometimes replaced by a Partenavia P.68. CAT added the Pilatus PC-12 single-engine turboprop in 2017 for air taxi work across Europe, and the fleet listing also includes a King Air 350i. Since 2020 the company has operated a Boeing 737-800 on behalf of the charter carrier Airseven.
For private flyers, the most relevant services are PC-12 and King Air air taxi trips from the Copenhagen area and owner services such as management and maintenance. Training aircraft and the scheduled island service make up much of the rest of the operation.
