Czech maker of the DV-1 Skylark ultralight, sold factory-built or as a kit, Paskov
Dova Aircraft (written DOVA Aircraft on its own website) is a Czech light aircraft manufacturer based in Paskov, in the Moravian-Silesian region. It is not a charter broker or operator. It designs, builds and sells its own aircraft type, the DV-1 Skylark.
The DV-1 Skylark is a low-wing ultralight and light-sport aircraft. Independent aircraft references list Dova Aircraft as its manufacturer and describe it as an aircraft still in production. Buyers can order a complete, ready-to-fly aircraft or a kit to build themselves. The company's website also has a page listing aircraft available from stock.
The company says the idea of building aircraft came up in 2000. Its first aircraft flew in 2002, and sales of the DV-1 Skylark began in 2003. A French aviation outlet reports that in May 2002 Dova agreed with the Skylark's original designer, Dr Marsden, to take over certification and production of the type in Europe.
Production takes place in Paskov, and the company says it develops the aircraft and its components with its own team. It reports customers outside the Czech Republic. Its website links to country versions for New Zealand, Austria, Poland, Belgium and Australia, along with pages in several European languages and Traditional Chinese. The site also has a certificates section and a downloads section.
This listing suits pilots looking at a new ultralight or light-sport aircraft for private flying. It does not cover business jet sales or charter.
