Whistler helicopter operator for charters, transfers and sightseeing, now part of Summit
Blackcomb Helicopters is a helicopter operator based at the Whistler Heliport in British Columbia, Canada. In January 2026 the company was acquired by Summit Helicopters, part of the Ledcor Group, and it continues to trade under the Blackcomb name.
For private flyers the company offers helicopter charters and transfers between Whistler and Vancouver, alongside scheduled-length sightseeing flights over the Coast Mountains, alpine landings, heli-picnics and heli-weddings. The website also lists emergency services.
According to Summit's acquisition announcement, the deal brought seven helicopters and bases in Whistler and Squamish into Summit's operation. Summit also took on Blackcomb's utility, film, firefighting and emergency response work and continues to run its sightseeing and charter tours.
The website says the business has more than 36 years of experience. Its Whistler base is on Heliport Road, and the parent group lists an office at Kamloops Airport.
Published tour prices are quoted per person or per group in Canadian dollars; charter and transfer pricing is quoted on request.
