London Air Services

London Air Services is a helicopter charter operator with its head office and aviation centre at the South Terminal of Vancouver International Airport (YVR) in Richmond, British Columbia. The company says it serves the Pacific Northwest, covering British Columbia and Washington State, and runs from a 64,000 sq ft hangar.

Its charter work covers executive and VIP travel, tourism and sightseeing, film and aerial production, utility and infrastructure support, and emergency medical and disaster relief flights.

The company flies the AgustaWestland AW139, a twin-engine medium helicopter. Its website says its AW139s are capable of Category A operations and have full ice protection. A 2011 industry report described London Air Services as operating three AW139s in its charter fleet. The same report said that in 2010 it took delivery of the first AW139 with the Full Ice Protection System, and that AgustaWestland had appointed it an independent sales representative for Canada. The current number of aircraft is not published.

On safety, London Air Services says it is a Wyvern Wingman certified operator and that its pilots hold Airline Transport Pilot ratings. Flyers can ask for current Wyvern documentation when booking.
