Canadian charter airline flying Boeing 737 passenger and cargo charters from Mirabel
Nolinor Aviation is a Canadian charter airline based at Montréal-Mirabel International Airport in Quebec. Founded in 1992, it began flying in 1997 and has been majority-owned by the Prud'homme family trust since 2004. Its maintenance operations moved to a large hangar at Mirabel in 2005.
The company operates its own aircraft. It flies passenger charters for groups of roughly 4 to 156 seats, cargo charters from 1,000 to 35,000 lb, combi flights carrying passengers and freight together, and fuel transport to remote areas. Much of its work is fly-in fly-out service for mining and northern communities, including jet operations on gravel runways.
The fleet is built around the Boeing 737, and Nolinor is described as the world's largest operator of the 737-200. It also flies 737-300 and 737-400 aircraft, and Wikipedia lists smaller types such as Learjet 45s. Fleet totals differ between Transport Canada data and the company's own count.
Nolinor serves Canada and the United States, and its website mentions charter and cargo operations in the Americas and Europe. It is the official charter carrier of the Montreal Alouettes football club. The company website states that it holds a BARS Gold safety audit and United Nations carrier approval for humanitarian operations. For private flyers it suits group and cargo moves rather than small business-jet trips.
