Westair Aviation

Westair Aviation Inc. is a small aircraft charter company based in Kelowna, British Columbia, trading online as Westair Charter Flights. Its office is listed on Richter Street in Kelowna.

The company offers on-demand charter flights for business and private travellers. Its website describes the service as a whole-aircraft charter, meaning only the client and their guests are on board, and pricing is quoted by phone for each trip because charges vary with the route. One-way trips are accepted, and the company says it will try to sell the return leg; if it cannot, a one-way flight is priced as a round trip.

Westair says it operates a single nine-passenger Piaggio P180 Avanti, a twin-turboprop with a pressurised stand-up cabin. According to the company the aircraft has a range of roughly 2,700 km and is certified for single-pilot operation, with a second pilot available at extra cost. Soft drinks and snacks are included, catering can be arranged for a fee, and pets are allowed.

The company states that it is licensed to fly anywhere in Canada, the United States and Mexico, and that it and its partners have more than 25 years in the charter business. Typical trips mentioned include Vancouver to Calgary and longer runs to the US west coast.

Flyers should note that the website appears not to have been updated since about 2017, and no independent confirmation of the operating certificate was found, so it is worth confirming current availability and certification when requesting a quote.
