Gamma Helicopters

Gamma Helicopters is the trading name of TVG Aviation Inc. It is a helicopter company based in Cochrane, Northern Ontario, with an address at 90A 6th Avenue. The company describes Cochrane as its home base and says its team is local to the town.

Its services include helicopter charter, long-line and sling-load work, fire suppression, agricultural work, heli-fishing trips, aerial photography packages and short helicopter rides at events. It serves commercial, private and municipal clients. It also says it works with townships, government agencies and ministries, and can adapt its reporting and invoicing to their requirements.

For utility work, the company advertises a sling-load lifting capacity of 2,750 lb. It says its pilots are on standby around the clock and that it can be airborne within an hour for emergencies. The website does not give a fleet list. Flyers should ask which helicopter types are available and which operating certificate the flights run under.

Its stated travel area covers several Canadian provinces and territories: Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, the Northwest Territories, Quebec, Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. The company says it offers discounts for farmers and for organisations that group projects together.

This is a regional utility and charter helicopter company, not a private jet charter provider. It mainly suits flyers and organisations in Northern Ontario and nearby regions that need short helicopter trips, aerial work or support at remote sites.
