Helicopter charter operator in Alma, Quebec, focused on mining and long-line work
Hélicoptères Panorama Ltée, also known as Panorama Helicopters, is a helicopter operator based at the airport in Alma, in Quebec's Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region. Its general manager is Patrick Coté.
The company flies commercial helicopter charter work rather than passenger jet travel. In a 2025 interview with GBR's Quebec mining report, it described a fleet of 11 helicopters, mainly from the Airbus AS350 family, including the AS350 BA+, B2 and the newer B3e/H125. Its work originally covered mining, firefighting and hydro projects and has since shifted mainly towards mining, especially drill moves and long-line and precision sling operations, including support for multi-rig drill sites far from its bases.
Federal contract records show that Environment and Climate Change Canada hired the company in June 2025 for a rotary-wing charter from Alma, valued at about CAD 152,500.
For private clients, the relevant service is helicopter charter for remote-site access and utility tasks. It should not be confused with Panorama Aviation, a separate fixed-wing charter company also based in Alma.
