Antwerp-based piston air taxi flying Cirrus SR22 and PA-46 aircraft across Europe
Fly Aeolus is an air taxi company headquartered in Antwerp, Belgium. It was founded in 2009, and Stefaan Ghijs is named as a founder. The business now trades as part of the Fly Aeolus Group, which includes three related brands.
The core service is an on-demand air taxi using small single-engine piston aircraft, the Cirrus SR22 and the Piper PA-46, with three to five passenger seats. The company says it can fly to more than 1,600 airports in 15 European countries, and it publishes a starting rate per flight hour on its website. Flights are booked online. The fleet is run on a fractional ownership model.
For trips that are too long or too large for the piston fleet, the group launched FA Jets in January 2024. FA Jets is a charter broker that arranges jet flights with third-party operators, up to large-cabin aircraft for groups. A third brand, FA Aircraft Sales & Acquisitions, handles the purchase and sale of private and corporate aircraft.
The air taxi suits short regional trips within Europe, where small airfields can sit closer to the final destination than major airports. Jet charter through FA Jets is brokered, not flown on the group's own certificate. The website does not name the operating certificate holder for the air taxi fleet.
