Family air charter, scenic and agricultural aviation operator at Ingham, North Queensland
Liddles Air Service is a family-owned aviation business based in Hangar 2 at Ingham Airport, beside the Bruce Highway in North Queensland. The company says it began operating in 1978 and is now run by Josh and Renee Liddle, the fifth generation of the family involved in the business.
Its work falls into three areas. Agricultural aviation, including aerial spraying for local farms, is a core activity. Commercial charter flights serve government departments, councils, mining, maritime and industrial clients, including reconnaissance and access to remote properties. Tourism flights, marketed as Hinchinbrook Adventures, cover scenic flights and fishing trips in the Hinchinbrook region.
The fleet listed on its website mixes fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters: a Bell 206 JetRanger, a Robinson R44, a Partenavia P68C twin, a Cessna 210, a Cessna 172, and two agricultural types, a Cessna 188 and an Ayres Turbine Thrush. The site gives a CASA operator certificate number, CASA.TAAOC.0231.
Flights focus on the Ingham and Hinchinbrook area, including national parks, the coast, islands and the Herbert River Gorge, as well as remote destinations in North Queensland. Bookings are handled by phone or email; the site has no online booking form.
