Dubbo-founded charter and regional airline with bases along Australia's east coast
Air Link is an Australian aircraft operator founded in Dubbo, New South Wales, in 1974. It is part of the Aviation Logistics Group, which also runs the Chartair, AirMed, Air Link Engineering and GroundMed brands, and it flies its own fleet.
The company runs scheduled passenger services in western New South Wales linking Dubbo with Bourke, Walgett and Lightning Ridge. Alongside these it offers private VIP charter, fly-in fly-out crew rotations for the resources sector, freight flights, time-critical missions with a target of two hours from confirmation to departure, and medical flights either directly or through AirMed.
The charter fleet includes Citation CJ2 and Citation Mustang jets, King Air 200 and Pilatus PC-12 NG turboprops, Cessna Caravans, and piston twins such as the Piper Chieftain, Piper Aerostar, Cessna 310R and Rockwell Commander. Air Link says it holds BARS and ISO approvals, and Air Link Engineering runs CASA-approved maintenance facilities in Sydney, Dubbo and Cairns.
Aircraft are based at Melbourne (Essendon), Sydney (Bankstown), Brisbane (Archerfield), Dubbo, Cairns and Weipa. The Cairns and Weipa bases came from East Air's charter business, which Air Link took over in 2025. Regional Express owned Air Link from 2005 until Aviation Logistics bought it in 2018.
