FBO offering ground handling, fuel and passenger lounges at Gold Coast Airport, Queensland
Platinum Business Aviation Centre is a fixed base operator (FBO) at Gold Coast Airport (ICAO YBCG, IATA OOL). Its terminal is at 30 Eastern Ave, Bilinga, Queensland. Its website also lists Essendon Airport in Melbourne as a second location. The company is not a charter broker or an aircraft operator. It looks after private aircraft, their crews and passengers on the ground.
Its main services are ground handling and fuelling around the clock, aircraft towing and hangarage, ground power units, and interior and exterior aircraft detailing. For passengers and crew it has a VIP lounge, a pilots' lounge, meeting rooms and office suites, and it can arrange catering. Its concierge team can book hotels, ground transport and helicopter transfers.
Platinum is World Fuel's appointed agent at Gold Coast Airport and supplies Jet A-1 and avgas. It also works with World Fuel at Essendon. The company says its fuel operations are audited against Joint Inspection Group (JIG) standards. It is a member of the Air Elite Network of FBOs. It also says its staff are trained to the International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling (IS-BAH). The site describes this as staff training, not as an IS-BAH registration of the facility.
In 2025–26 the company and Mondrian Gold Coast opened the Mondrian Lounge at Platinum, a hotel-branded lounge inside the private terminal. Trade press reported this as the first partnership of its kind between an FBO and a lifestyle hotel brand in Australia or New Zealand. The FBO's general manager is Joe Stenning.
Flyers would use Platinum when their charter operator, jet card provider or own aircraft flies into the Gold Coast. The flight itself still has to be booked with a separate charter company.
