Australian regional airline and charter operator with jets, turboprops and medevac
Air Link is an Australian aviation company that began as a charter operator in Dubbo, New South Wales, in 1974. Regional Express owned it from 2005 until 2018, when it was sold to Aviation Logistics Holdings, which also owns AirMed and Chartair.
Its bases include Brisbane (Archerfield), Melbourne (Essendon), Sydney (Bankstown) and Dubbo, with Cairns and Weipa added after an acquisition from East Air in October 2025. It runs scheduled regional flights linking Dubbo with Bourke, Walgett and Lightning Ridge.
Charter work covers VIP private flights, fly-in fly-out crew rotations for the resources sector, freight, and time-critical flights. The company says it aims for two hours from confirmation to take-off on urgent trips. Medevac flights are flown directly or through its sister company AirMed.
The aircraft listed on its website range from Citation CJ2 and Citation Mustang light jets to King Air 200 and Pilatus PC-12 turboprops and piston twins such as the Piper Chieftain. It also offers aircraft maintenance and ground handling.
The company states it holds BARS approval and meets IOGP standards used by mining and energy clients.
